Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: December 10, 2025
Welcome to Happy Tails Pet Resort (“Happy Tails,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website or using any of our services—including boarding, daycare, bathing, and related pet care services—you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation or leaving your pet in our care.
1. General Use of Services
Happy Tails provides pet boarding, daycare, and accompanying services as described on our website. By using our services, you confirm that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete, and that you accept all policies outlined here and elsewhere on our website.
2. Vaccination & Health Requirements
To protect the safety of all guests, pets must meet the following requirements (based on FAQs and website information):
-
Proof of current immunizations including rabies, distemper, Bordetella, and canine influenza.
-
Pets must be free of fleas, ticks, parasites, and contagious illnesses.
-
You must disclose all health conditions, recent medical issues, behavioral concerns, and any special care needs before check-in.
-
Happy Tails may refuse service if a pet appears ill, injured, highly stressed, or unsafe to others.
Despite best efforts and up-to-date vaccinations, owners acknowledge that illnesses, including those common in social environments, may still occur.
3. Behavioral Expectations
-
Pets must be non-aggressive and able to safely interact with staff and other animals.
-
If a pet exhibits dangerous or unmanageable behavior at any time during their stay, Happy Tails may modify their care plan (such as removing them from group play) or discontinue services.
-
For safety, we reserve the right to refuse or end services at our discretion.
4. Personal Items, Food & Belongings
-
Owners may bring food, treats, bedding, or toys from home, but Happy Tails is not responsible for lost, damaged, or soiled personal items.
-
All food brought from home must be clearly labeled.
-
If a pet’s food supply runs out or is not provided, Happy Tails may provide substitute food, which may result in additional fees.
5. Medication & Special Care
-
If your pet requires medication, it must be provided in its original container with clear instructions.
-
Happy Tails will make reasonable efforts to administer medication as directed, but cannot guarantee perfect administration or prevent adverse reactions.
-
Additional fees may apply for special handling or medical care.
6. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care:
-
We will attempt to contact you and/or your emergency contact immediately.
-
If contact is not possible, Happy Tails may seek veterinary treatment at our discretion.
-
You are financially responsible for all veterinary expenses, treatment costs, transportation, and any associated fees.
Happy Tails is not liable for outcomes related to illness, injury, or unforeseen complications unless caused by our gross negligence.
7. Payment, Fees & Billing
-
Prices for services are listed on our website or provided upon request.
-
Fees may apply for additional services such as medication administration, special handling, extended care, after-hours pick-ups, or late check-outs.
-
Payment is due at pick-up unless otherwise stated.
-
Failure to pay may result in withholding release of the pet until the balance is settled.
8. Cancellations, Reservations & No-Shows
(If Happy Tails has specific cancellation or holiday policies, you can send them and I’ll insert them.)
In general:
-
Reservations are recommended to ensure availability.
-
Cancellations or no-shows may be subject to fees, particularly during peak or holiday seasons.
-
Early pick-ups may not qualify for partial refunds.
9. Photography & Media Release
Happy Tails may photograph or record pets during their stay for safety documentation, staff training, or promotional purposes. By using our services, you grant us permission to use such images on our website, social media, or marketing materials without compensation.
10. Liability & Assumption of Risk
While we prioritize safety, owners acknowledge the following:
-
Boarding, daycare, and group play environments carry inherent risks, including injury, stress, and disease transmission.
-
Happy Tails is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or death of a pet unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
-
Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pet to facility property, staff, or other animals.
11. Abandoned Pets
If a pet is not picked up on the scheduled date and no contact is made, the following steps may be taken:
-
We will attempt to contact the owner and emergency contacts.
-
If no response is received within a reasonable period (typically 10 days), the pet may be considered abandoned under state law.
-
Happy Tails may rehome, surrender, or otherwise place the pet in accordance with local regulations.
-
The owner remains responsible for all outstanding charges.
12. Website Use & Intellectual Property
-
All content on the Happy Tails website—including text, images, and branding—is owned by Happy Tails or used with permission and may not be copied or reproduced without written consent.
-
